Hoover innovation meets One inspiration

Challenge

The brand that launched the UK’s first fully connected range of kitchen appliances in 2015, Hoover remains strongly focussed on innovation through technology, turning to our PR and social team to help them reinforce this reputation to both the trade and consumers.

In 2017, Hoover tasked us to build on this – driving awareness of the brand and products through a range of activity focused on three key attributes of style, innovation and care.

Solution

To give Hoover the exposure required, we exploited our long-established links with key media and publications within the Kitchen, Bedroom and Bathroom sector.

From TV product placement to profiling Hoover spokespeople in key trade titles, we created a multi-channel campaign to launch new products, promote key features and innovations and communicate the brand pillars of style, innovation and care.

All activity was supported on social media, from raising awareness with competitions to dealing with customer service enquiries.

Result

During 2017, we secured more than 470 pieces of coverage – making the Hoover press team was the go-to option for comment on smart appliances and innovation in the industry.

Social media activity achieved over 1.2 million impressions, 94k engagements and 2,500 click throughs to the brand website. In just 12 months, this resulted in a 54% increase in community size.
