We’re proud to have handled Taylor Wimpey’s PR for over a decade, continually creating relevant content with a human-interest angle with the aim of positioning them as ‘the homebuilder who cares’. Taking this to the next level, in 2017 they asked us to help them communicate how safety is their key consideration when building a home.
Our unconventional yet highly effective response was to design Taylor Wimpey’s very first children’s book, featuring the characters of Milly Mortar and Handy Andy.
This magical tale explains the different stages involved in building a home in a fun, engaging way and also tells the reader how Taylor Wimpey work safely at all times.
Aimed at Key Stage One children, the book also encourages them to consider construction as a future career while cementing Taylor Wimpey’s reputation and a name people associate with homebuilding in their area.
Originally circulated to schools across the North West, the book was so positively received that it was also used as Taylor Wimpey’s official 2018 World Book PR campaign – helping them stand out in the fiercely competitive housebuilding sector.
